Chimerica and Book of Mormon came away with the top awards at the 2014 Oliviers, with a total of 9 awards between them.

Chimerica, which opened at the Harold Pinter Theatre in August of last year to critical acclaim, won each of the 5 awards for which it was nominated including: Best Lighting Design (Tim Lutkin & Finn Ross), Best Sound Design (Carolyn Downing), Best Set Design (Es Devlin), Best Director (Lyndsey Turner) and Best New Play (Lucy Kirkwood). 

Book of Mormon, the smash hit transfer from Broadway, won 4 awards of its own including: Best Choreographer (Casey Nicholaw), Best Supporting Actor (Stephen Ashfield), Best Actor (Gavin Creel) and Best New Musical.
